Currently, not much is known about how the gameplay is to specifically work; i.E. – whether or not it is to be a first-person or third-person experience, for example. However, judging from the various screenshots currently available, four kings seems to take on a certain “second life” or “the sims” –like character, with your standardized lobbies and segregated activities positioned throughout the casino itself. Likewise, as your bank roll / rewards increase, you have the option to upgrade your clothing, etc. Which certainly adds an extra bit of customization for those who require it. In fact, there’s even talk of adding various incentives which demonstrate your current level and ability within the game, where more extravagant duds mean that you’re a high-roller and so forth…

What kinds of activities will you be able to engage in?

According to the game’s developers, your standard offerings like “texas hold’em poker, slots, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, bingo, video poker, instant keno and more” (source) will be available in-game. Assuming that the devs really nail this one, we could be looking at one of the most exciting gambling games to ever grace any console / platform. Additionally, since we’re also talking about something that’s meant for the PS4, it will likely also respond extremely well as far as graphics and performance is concerned. If that weren’t enough, one can also easily envision the myriad ways that the playstation 4’s online and streaming features will add to the fun.

This is, of course, all rumors and wishful thinking at this point, we’ve yet to see any gameplay videos or demos as of yet. Still though, it’s hard not to anticipate great things with this game and concept, where it seems like the sky’s the limit. Moreover, there really isn’t anything to compare it with either, as there are precious few titles out there which allow for online play in a somewhat open world-ish casino environment. To tell you the truth, it seems like it could be a boom or a bust. Nevertheless, we have to hold our hopes high that digital leisure really comes through with this one, the stakes are high and they certainly seem to have a lot riding on this venture too, after all.

This whole idea points to a meeting of two online genres that have so far remained stubbornly entrenched in their own particular territories. There has, until now at least, been a distinct no-man’s land separating the console-based gaming industry and online gambling. Read some other reviews and from the sound of it the people were very bitter than they were not good at actually winning. Play smart and you'll win 150K chips day 1 like I did without paying a dime. If you DO end up busting, take advantage of the free poker and free bingo games to get you back into the game with some chips! If you played PS home, digital leisure developed some stuff for home so the game design has heavy inspirations from it. I will say the exploring can be kinda laggy but the actual gameplay is great. I haven't had to pay a penny and I don't really feel pressured to, a lot of the in-game stores where you customize your avatar will accept the in-game rewards points currency as a way to buy items, so you can even have some fun with your avatar customization just for succeeding at the game! You can also earn you way into the VIP room without paying anything/ (which I am very close to achieving )

All in all for a digital casino experience, I'm giving this a solid 10. For me as a poker and blackjack lover, I find this game to be the most fun digital casino experience around. … expand

One of those dumb online casino games which charges for VIP at a rate that's more than depositing into a real online casino. But VIP is one of those dumb online casino games which charges for VIP at a rate that's more than depositing into a real online casino. But VIP is optional and the VIP area is locked off from normal view so you never feel like you are missing out on anything. The controls and menus take a bit o figuring out, but when you do, the tasks are fun and the games are decent to waste an hour or so a day. You get $250 free chips every 15 mins and daily free chips on the daily slot bonus, so it's really not as bad as some similar games.

The graphics are polished and optional features for your avatar are fun. You can hold a donut for example. VIP as i stated before is £15 in the UK. For that price I could deposit into a real online casino and play for real. The prices for chips in the game are cheap for a free game but I've played through the first two pages of in game achievements without having to buy any so far. The game warns you before you make big bets and warns you not to go 'all in' from the start.

There are a variety of casino games here, but the tables do not have visible croupiers. This makes the experience seem somewhat unrealistic. As well as the tables there are slot machines, keno and even bingo. The bingo games leave a lot to be desired and are my least favorite aspect of the game. There's also a night club where (like the croupiers) there is a dj box without a dj.

It's these small touches that make or break the game, if they had added people at the tables and other small details it would have helped round up the experience, but as it stands it is a fun but very basic game. It's a cross between a facebook app and a small console game, in that, the graphics are 3D and above what a facebook app could do and I feel they are more generous with the free chips than they want to be, but ultimately you still play for an hour tops each day.

The social aspects of the game are fun, you can talk to and add other people. In my second day me and a guy went around trolling other players and making A to B races around the casino. The game urges you to invite and recommend real friends to join you, but then just seems spammy when it asks if you want to gift them a chip pack.

The slots are fun, keno is fun, the video poker is fun. The casino games aren't great but fun.
I can't rate this more than 6 because of the nature of the game and its pushes towards micro transactions.
But if you enjoy casino themed games you will enjoy this game and social aspects.

This is clearly the WORST. GAME. EVER!

If you love gambling games such as poker, blackjack, slots, craps, even bingo, then this game is this is clearly the WORST. GAME. EVER!

If you love gambling games such as poker, blackjack, slots, craps, even bingo, then this game is for you. However, if you like a realistic gambling game, then this game is NOT for you. I downloaded the game for the PS4, which is a console that normally has far more superior games to play other than this one. Thankfully, this game is FREE of charge, because trust me, if I had to pay for this game in any way, I would pull my hair out.

Let me break it down for you, I literally have deleted this game at least 7 or 8 times out of frustration due to the fact of a few things.

The LAGGING sucks in this game. It amazes me how cheaply made this game is. Every time you walk, the screen skips or pauses. It's annoying, especially when you are trying to figure out where you are going. I know some people will say it's my internet, but again, when you think of other – and far superior – games such as GTA online in which there is no sign of lagging, it makes a huge difference in the experience of this game.

The buy-in's are ridiculous and downright STUPID. Why does it cost $1000 to play a game of bingo, when you start out with $10000? Does digital leisure realize how hard it is to win a game of bingo? Let alone cough up 10% of my chips just to play a damn game of bingo? Sorry, this proves how dumb the makers of this game really are. To play poker cost you a cool $5000, but they do have a free poker table where you can play against 5 other online players; however, once again, digital leisure becomes really stupid. Which leads to my third point.

The pay outs, SUCK! So, let's say you win a game of free poker, what's the pay out? $5000. That's it. Not bad for winning a FREE game of poker, but here's the catch. What happens if you get second place? NOTHING! ZERO! ZILCH! NADA! Here's what you get! “you got 2nd place”. That's it! It's cruel how digital leisure pays out anything! The slot machines are even worse! You get hardly ANY payouts in the slot machines – all 3 slot machines I may add!

Another problem I think the game has is the asinine layout of the casino itself. First of all, the VIP section is a JOKE! You play to get to it, and. It's the same stuff as the main lobby. Why doesn't this surprise me? This proves how LAZY and NON-CREATIVE digital leisure really is. This game reminds me too much of the playstation home version of the casino. And don't get me started on the dance club. Yes, the DANCE CLUB. Waste of time and SPACE!

The VIP section is what you want to go to; therefore, you have climb tiers, but once again, IT TAKES FOREVER to climb these tiers and that's IF you win enough to be able to play the games. Oh wait, I didn't tell you? Yeah, so let's say you lose ALL your chips, do you start over? Do they provide mercy on your soul? HELL NO! You're stuck until 15 minutes go by and then they give you a pansy size crest worth of $250. YEAH, $250! That's probably good for two games of keno and one game of blackjack before you are wiped out. Then you have to wait another 15 lousy minutes before they can give you another $250. The stupidity of digital leisure is uncanny. Oh, but sometimes they will HIDE chips for you, which gives you the choice of looking for these hidden chips in this god awful casino, and, of course, you have to battle with lagging, and pray to god it doesn't crash on you on the way there.

But not to fret, there is a free game of bingo. Wait, scratch that, because this “free game” of bingo NEVER SEEMS TO WORK!

There was a time that I did like the game – when I was WINNING FAIRLY! I'm not expecting the game to let me win MILLIONS on e very hand of blackjack, but every now and then I would get HOT and actually win a large amount of chips and climb the tiers. I WANTED TO PLAY THE DAMN GAME! But, as I worked my account up to 50k, apparently digital leisure thought that it was too much for me to have for free – because I'm not spending real money to buy fake money; no offense, but you're an idiot if you do this – and decided to make EVERY GAME (blackjack, slots, keno, bingo, roulette, etc) HARDER THAN AN ELDER ON VIAGRA! I went from 50k to $6. At this point, I was done with this game. I deleted it from my hard drive and will NEVER play it again.

Don't take my word for it, download it yourself and play it. It truly sucks! All this game is is a cheap knockoff of the PS home casino game so the idiots at digital leisure could hopefully cash in by having people break out their real wallets to buy chips. Alas, the last time I was playing this game, the front lobby was dead. The blackjack tables were dying out, and the only thing that was packed was the poker tables.
